What happens if I move? Can I receive energy reports at my new house? Do I have to opt in again?

If you move to a new home where you don’t have an account history with Georgia Power, you will unfortunately not be able to receive energy reports at your new home, or at least not immediately. In order to receive reports, you will need to have had 13 months’ worth of continuous service at that location.

The minimum eligibility requirements to participate in the Home Electric Report program are:

  • Owning your home
  • Having at least 13 continuous months’ worth of bill data
  • Other considerations that include geographical location
